OUR CORE BELIEFS

We believe in one God existing as three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit (Mt 3:16-17; Mt 28:19; Jn 14:16-17).

We believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary (Mt 1:22-23; Lk 1:26-38).

We believe Jesus is both fully God and fully human (hypostatic union). His miraculous birth, death, and resurrection are central to salvation (Phil 2:6-11).

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

We believe Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures (1 Cor 15:3). This was not a metaphorical or symbolic death; Jesus suffered a physical death by crucifixion (Mt 27:27-56). No one took His life, but He laid it down on His own initiative, declaring that He had the authority to lay it down and take it up again (Jn 10:17-18).

We believe Jesus was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. He was seen by the apostles and over five hundred brethren (1 Cor 15:4-8).

We believe that the nature of man is inherently fallen, born in sin and shaped in iniquity (Ps 51:5).

We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23); there is none righteous (Rom 3:10-12). We believe that the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Rom 6:23).

We believe that God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (Jn 3:16).

We believe that if you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Rom 10:9).

We believe that we are justified by the gift of God’s grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus (Rom 3:24).

By grace we have been saved through faith, and that not of ourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast (Eph 2:8-9).

It is the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe (Rom 3:22).

We believe that heaven is a place and state of eternal fellowship with God for those who are saved. We believe there will be a new heaven and a new earth; a dwelling place for God and His people, where there will no longer be mourning, pain or suffering (Rev 21:1-4).

We believe that our ultimate citizenship is in heaven. We eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body (Phil 3:20-21).

We believe that hell is a place and state of eternal separation from God for the unsaved. It is a place of intense suffering with eternal fire that isn’t quenched. All those whose name is not written in the book of life will be judged according to their deeds and thrown into the lake of fire (Rev 20:11-15).
