The New Vision International Development Corporation (NVIDC) & Morrison Group will sponsor an onsite workshop by the Elmseed Enterprise Fund. Elmseed is a non-profit organization in New Haven that offers business loans (up to $5000), entrepreneurship development courses and individual consulting services to entrepreneurs who want to start or expand small businesses. An Elmseed representative will be on hand to discuss the organization’s program.

Out the Box presents SWAG: A creative worship service designed just for teens 13-19 years old. For anyone wondering, SWAG stands for “Student Worship and Growth” service.

This year’s first SWAG will feature fun, games, food, musical performances, student testimonies and a creative message designed and delivered just for the teens.

The theme for the night is “#WhiteTeeWorship, so wear your freshest white tee or white outfit!

Join the City of Bridgeport for a roundtable discussion on education and student achievement. All parents, students and Bridgeport residents are invited to attend.

Kevin Johnson, Mayor of Sacramento, California and former NBA all star with the Phoenix Suns, has initiated many efforts in Sacramento to improve student achievement and is hoping to share his ideas on education reform at the local and national level directly with Bridgeport students and parents. Kevin Johnson is the 55th mayor of Sacramento. He is the first native Sacramentan, and the first African American to be elected to the office. His vision is for Sacramento to become “a city that works for everyone.”
