Dear Covenant Friend,
As we are embark upon the third church wide consecration in our brief 12 year history, God has impressed upon me to invite the nations to this time of restoration. Thus, we are asking that all participating nations who watch and or connective ministry partners would consider fasting and praying with us for these 21 Days. You can stay connected with us nightly through this website.
To the body at large, this season of testing and pruning is finally coming to an end. God is moving us into the season of decreeing and declaring speaking life into His people and the kingdom. The people of God are experiencing a new birth through repentance and a new hunger for righteousness. God is calling His people to a greater sense of urgency, accountability and increased faith. Thus, we must begin to monitor our tongues for both perverse and idle words.
In this new season, we must remember that our words have weight and they interact with the spirit realm as an indicator of the position our heart. We must begin to challenge ourselves as it relates to our own personal lives.
- How do you refer to yourself?
- How do you speak about your future?
- How do you speak to your spouse, children family and friends?
- Does your language deposit the grace of God or does it agree with the demonic realm?
- Do your words inspire or destroy?
- Are you a giver of life using words seasoned with salt or are you a taker withdrawing from the spirit of a man with a bitter tongue?
- What kind of descriptive language do you use when referring to your God, your church or the leadership of the body of Christ locally and or internationally?
The power of death and life is in your tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Our life is on our tongues. Create an atmosphere for God to move in your life. You will give an account of every idle word spoken out of your mouth.
Your future is in your mouth so let’s spend the next 21 days with a serious resolve to fulfill the mandates of the consecration (a separating of yourself from selected worldly activities) in fasting, daily devotions, the reading and study of God’s Word and a serious time of prayer dialogue (listening and talking to God……mostly listening).
The fast will begin on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011 at 12:00 noon and end on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 9:00 pm with a Holy Communion Service beginning at 7pm. We will have nightly prayer* for these 21 days beginning 7pm.
Although you are welcome to come at 6pm if you would like extended meditation and prayer. We will spend anywhere from an hour to 1.5 hrs in silent meditative prayer, group or corporate prayer, meditation, worship and brief teaching exhortations barring a supernatural move of God.
All regular services on Tuesdays and Fridays, and /or meetings that interfere with our nightly consecration are suspended during this time in order to honor God with the unusual. However, we will collect tithes and offerings on Tuesdays and Fridays and any days you are led to give during the consecration. We are looking forward to a tremendous move of God!!!
*Note: Saturday, December 17, 2011 is our Angel Tree Celebration. There will be no early prayer at 6pm and we will start prayer on a delayed 7:30pm schedule.
